Assalammualaikum, selamat sejahtera, salam PKPB dan salam Covid 19. Alhamdulillah, harini masih berpeluang untuk dipinjamkan nyawa olehNya serta diberikan kesihatan yang baik. Baiklah, hari ini adalah hari ke-54 iaitu hampir 2 bulan kita tidak bersua demi mematuhi Perintah Perkawalan Pergerakan Bersyarat (PKPB) dan saya berharap anda semua masih mematuhi PKPB ini kerana kita masih belum menang untuk diraikan.
Pada hari Jumaat yang lalu, Dr Fareed telah menjalankan virtual class dan live di FB dengan jayanya walaupun terdapat beberapa gangguan di Zoom Apps. Pada mulanya, saya masih tertanya-tanya, adakah selamat untuk menjalani virtual class thru Zoom Apps kerana baru baru ini viral tentang kes scammer or hacked di Zoom Apps. Tapi saya yakin, apa saja keputusan pensyarah saya adalah keputusan yang terbaik.
Terdapat beberapa perkara yang Dr Fareed telah explained dalam virtual class serta live di FB dan antaranya ialah Dr meminta kami untuk karang satu perenggan tentang 'Reflection on Movement Control Order'. Usai karang ayat, kami perlu share link blog ini dan submit di Putrablast.

"Control Movement Order (CMO): Time For IT Innovation To Invade US-MY Own Experience Sharing".
In my opinion, today's technological response plays a very important role in this MCO season. For example, the community prefers to use Grab Food, Food Panda, Food and its services to order food. Not only that, riders also take this opportunity to do good by uniting and giving to those in need. In addition, those who are losing their source of income are taking on new initiatives by working part-time jobs where they sell junk food such as john bread, chicken, take up kitchen food, raw materials and so on. Accordingly, as everyone knows that this year's Ramadan bazaar was canceled. Meanwhile, traders are taking alternatives by launching a Ramadan e-bazaar where people can order online only. Interesting here is that although we can't enjoy the actual Ramadan bazaars, we can still make orders by buying fast-food breakfasts and pastries online indirectly so we can support the merchants. Not only that, virtual classes and virtual work are also implemented.
Besides that, what do I care about? Firstly, online class. One of the most common issues for students during online classes is when the class is in session, the line is tight. Second, students understand and focus more when they meet with lecturers from online classes. This is because of the interaction between students and lecturers. Third, users often feel sleepy due to lack of eye contact with the lecturer, which can cause students to become bored while studying. Fourth, there was no efficient response between lecturers and students during the question and answer session. Fifth, students need to learn on their own without the help of others. In fact, students need to look for limited information on line issues. Finally, some lecturers are replacing online classes with video. This is great because of the intolerance between lecturers and students living in the interior. However, students will get bored quickly because of horizontal video without student feedback.
Other than that, assignments that certain lecturers have given are many of the most common. Secondly, the duration of submission of the assignment is shorter than usual. Although we need to find info on websites, articles and others that use the Internet and the issue here is that not all areas of Internet access are good. Different at university, we can talk, find info together at library. I do respect at this one student who are willing to climb up the hill looking for Internet access. Finally, group assignments are difficult to implement because there is no group discussion.
Next, if this quiz and test run for an hour, I recommend that the CMO be extended by one hour and half. This is because of the slow line factor. For example, I once answered a quiz and only managed to answer 10 questions out of 30 questions. In addition, I recommend that every quiz or test, set several times. This is because, some students are unable to answer all the questions and suddenly the student has already answered. Therefore, they could not make the second attempt because the lecturers had set one trial only. If the student is worried that the student is copying, the student can show evidence of the problem he or she is facing. If the student line in the area was so bad that it could not be repeated many times, another alternative would be to have the student answer the quiz the other day and any other questions. Because we cannot expect a line in a person's mood to be in the mood of a person, it could be that the student's line is never a problem on the day he or she receives a heavy rain quiz and cannot answer the quiz directly. Do not aspect that students is responding to when he or she is not responsible for the line factor. It's not fair for students who have no problem with the line with students who have line problems.
Apart from the factor of line, why the time need to be added is because there are calculating question. Students used to spend last minute answering questions but nowadays students spend last minute by taking picture of answer, need to transfer to laptop or via WhatsApp web, download, upload and there a lot submit button. This can be slow because the students may be so nervous that the picture quality is unclear, every step of buffering and so on.
Also, my suggestion is not to set the time for each question because I don't think it's time to finish. So, I hope the lecturer can decide on a rewind question where the student can skip the question by answering another question before answering the unanswered question. For the final examination, I agree with Dr Fareed's suggestion that the lecturer allow the students to answer the final examination by opening the book. This is because, students rely only on Internet resources and notes to study lessons. Previously, students were able to create study groups with friends where they could easily share their knowledge. However, not all were free at the same time as the CMO to discuss via Skype or any other apps. Add the endless line issue.
Lastly, some other universities do not have final exams, and I still wonder why they still want to take the final exams. So to help students rise to the rankings they sometimes need to hear the voice of a student, they need to understand the student's situation even more on this network issue. At least students can do additional assignments, quizzes or tests that can replace the final exams. It can help the student to raise the pointer and the university also will get a great rank. However, me as a student I do understand that they want give the best for us.
